Hawzah News Agency (Manama, Bahrain) - Sheikh Isa Qassim was fined to pay one thousand Dinars and with a 3-milion Dinar of his property confiscated.
According to the court verdict, Sheikh Qassim's decree of confinement has been suspended for 3 years.
With Bahrain established as country in 1971, Sheikh Qassim, a spiritual leader of Bahrain’s revolution, returned to the country from Najaf ul-Ashraf, Iraq, and entered the parliament with a majority of votes until the parliament dissolved.
Bahrain Ministry accused Sheikh Qassim of abusing his position as a parliamentarian to "serve foreign interests and spread out sectarian violence”.
